Inc Zine

On the 21st October Hannah Simpson and I observed and drew Inc Zine's fantastic Interactive Poetry Party at Book Club, Shoredich.

There were some amazing poetry and performances going on!

EMMA JONES - Brixton school teacher and fantastic poet sharing honestly hilarious anecdotes from her day job. Get ready to "stand up if you like chicken..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSJ21JTqYu0

ZENA EDWARDS - An incredible wordsmith whose absorbing poetry combines influences from traditional African music and song, hip hop and of course, her home town London. But why not read all about her in the Guardian? http://www.guardian.co.uk/urbanundiscovered/zena-edwards
JOSHUA SEIGAL - Also straight back down from the one and only Edinburgh Festival and a inc. zine regular, Joshua is one a one man mission to highlight the plight of llamas.
Organiser and MC, Will, read out the collaborative scroll that had been passed around the audience throughout the evening.

Finally, here are some of the drawings hanging in situ. Great night all round.  Thanks to all for the lovely comments! Hannah and I are looking to organise more Reportage drawing events soon. So, watch this space.

Fixperts

"The Fixperts project connects people. People that are good at thinking and making are invited to meet and help someone they don’t know with a day-to-day problem that has been frustrating or difficult for them to overcome. We make a film about it, capturing the story of the fix. We then make these films available online to support the understanding of design through fixing."
Explaination from Fixperts

Angie Phillips and I were asked to be filmmakers for the pilot project of Fixperts.

It is a very exciting idea which we all enjoyed being a part of. Fixperts has such fantastic potential for positively changing people's lives!

See our film Harold here:

This fix was for an elderly gentleman named Harold, who lives alone in Sussex. He struggles with mobility and movement
such as sitting on chairs that are too low. Fixperts Alex and Ollie have made a fix to resolve this.
